Gulf Islands National Seashore: Ft. Pickens
Fort Pickens is a pentagonal historic United States military fort on Pensacola Beach. It is named after American Revolutionary War hero Andrew Pickens. The fort was completed in 1834 and remained in use until 1947. Fort Pickens is currently part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore.

Watch the awe-inspiring Blue Angels at practice air shows from March through November, take a ride in a motion-based or Top Gun Air Combat simulator, have fun with the ultimate seven story giant screen movie experience in the IMAX Theatre and dine in the Cubi Bar Cafe, an exhibit itself. There are plenty of family-friendly ways to get the most out of quality time with the kids. Free admission is an added bonus, as well as free tours inside the Museum and on the flight line.

Historic Pensacola Village consists of twenty-seven properties in the Pensacola National Register Historic District. Eleven of these properties are interpreted facilities that are open to the public. The T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum, originally the 1908 City Hall building, is a virtual treasure trove of historic artifacts, Americana, and West Florida history. The T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Museum houses two floors of permanent and traveling exhibits and our children's hands-on exhibit, the Discovery Gallery, located on the third floor. The Arcadia Mill Archaeological Site, located in Milton, Florida, is an antebellum industrial site offering visitors a historical experience as well as the opportunity to visit a unique wetland ecosystem. The Norman Simons Building houses the Pensacola Historical Society Resource Center.
